Hearing Loss Association (HLA)
Michigan's AT Program has subcontracted with the HLA of Michigan to
provide training and demonstrations of hearing assistive technology.
This program builds on the Hearing Technology Resource Specialist
(HTRS) program which was started ten years ago with help from the
AT Program at MDRC.

Items
available for demonstration include doorbells, smoke alarms, phones, neck
loops, blue tooth devices and more! The group recently purchased new equipment
for their kits: answering machines and alarm clocks. A training for HTRSs
on these devices was conducted at Higgins Lake in June. At this session,
member Janet Haines was presented with several national awards for her work
with the association. Congratulations to Janet!

Hospital beds (pair to use as king)
"This matched pair of semi-electric hospital beds was bought by
my
parents to use together as a king bed when they had different medical
needs, but wanted to maintain the closeness of sleeping together.
Each bed comes with box spring and mattress, and each has its
own hand control to adjust the head or foot of the bed up and down,
or to start a timed massage. These beds do not have a height control.
Headboard brackets and Owners Manual are also included. I will be
happy to answer any questions or e-mail additional pictures to any
interested buyer. Asking $750 OBO for the pair, or would consider
selling them individually for $400 each.
- Maxwell Products, Inc. -
Model LVC11
- Condition: Very Good
- Price when new (MSRP):
$5000
- Beds are available for pickup in Marquette, Michigan.
- Seller
is willing to work with buyer to arrange commercial truck shipping
if needed, which will be entirely at the buyer's expense."
The AT Xchange is a new Michigan-based website where people can buy,
sell or give away assistive technology (AT). Do you have a used AT item
in storage that could really help someone who has a disability? It could
be anything from a wheelchair, stair lift, Braille reader, or reacher!
If so, just post a classified ad AT Xchange.org. The Atxchange is open
to vendors who have used equipment for sale also. And don't worry about
cost, ATXchange is a free service!
