Local Project Subcontracts Awarded!

The Assistive Technology Program has awarded several subcontracts though the recent request for proposal process. The Cutting Edge: Technology to read non-verbal communication:

Thanks to Ira Socol also for sending an article about new technology currently in development that will read non verbal communication. The device is called the "Emotional Social Intelligence Prosthetic" or ESP. This has potential uses for people with difficulty reading emotions.

Open Source Assistive Technology Software

The OATS project is the world's first site dedicated to Open Source Assistive Technology Software. Open Source software is free software, where the 'source code' that makes the software, is openly published. Will in beta mode now, looks promising! http://www.oatsoft.org/
