Supportive Services
General Support Services
There is currently no known comprehensive list of Support Service Agencies. Support Services tend to be offered for specific populations and their resources limited to those populations, e.g. persons receiving mental health services, seniors, and those exiting inpatient hospitalization to continue care. The services they offer may differ: some are nursing oriented, some are home chore providers, and then some will offer money management, transportation, and other services required to maintain independence.
Requests can be made of local Community Mental Health boards, senior services such as Area Agency on Aging, and private organizations advertising under Home Health Care and Services in your local phone book. We'll work toward a more inclusive list on this site.
Support Service Provider Agencies
Statewide sites to locate local resources:
- Michigan Assisted Living Facilities Directory, oriented to seniors.

- Area Agencies on Aging in Michigan
- Community Mental Health Boards in Michigan
- Department of Human Services, which can provide in-home chore services.
- Call 211 for help in locating resources in your local area.
