Michigan Disability Rights Coalition (MDRC) strongly believes people with disabilities can be leaders in their community. Connections for Community Leadership (CCL) is one program that supports emerging leaders.
Her Power Her Pride Her Voice 2011
Her Power Her Pride Her Voice is a weekend retreat for high school girls with disabilities to challenge the stereotypes young girls with disabilities face. Through interactive activities, group dialogue, and the creation of art, girls explore their own pride and power as women with disabilities. This year, the event was a huge success. 12 girls from around Michigan gathered at Camp Fish Tales in Pinconning, Michigan. Thank you to all of our donors, 100 Women Who Care, the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council, volunteers, and staff that made this event possible!
