Grant
Michigan Campus Compact is accepting
proposals for the 2006-2007 academic year. The Youth to Youth grant
program will award fifteen grants in the amount of $1,000 each to help college
students who create and implement service projects to positively impact
disadvantaged youth.
Applications are due on the 15 of every
month.

2. Student
Community Action Fund
The student community action fund is
designed to aid in the creation of opportunities for students to design and fund
their own civic dialogue, community service or civic engagement activities and
encourage educational opportunities through attendance at statewide and national
training events. You must be a student at a Michigan Campus Compact
college

till funding runs out.

3. Lupus
Inspiration Foundation
The L.I.F.E Scholarship is awarded to one
or more students. The award recipients will receive a minimum of award of
$500.00. Each applicant must be diagnosed with systemic lupus
erythematosus and working towards a degree with a minimum of six credits per
semester at an accredited United States college or university and hold a minimum
of a 3.0 GPA and be involved in at least one extracurricular activity.

Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) are proud to offer summer
internship program designed specifically for college and university students
with disabilities interested in careers in information technology. This
internship will provide 10 students with disabilities with the exclusive
opportunity to participate in an 11 week I.T. internship at a federal agency in

Internship
The Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation
and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) are proud to
offer a congressional internship program for undergraduate students with
disabilities. This internship provides an opportunity for students with
disabilities to work on Capitol Hill for 8 weeks and acquire valuable work
experience that will enrich their academic studies.

Between Me You and Liberation
Chicago’s Center for Independent Living
are holding a three day workshop for women interested in learning more about how
to build a gender-conscious, disability proud, safe space for girls. This
very interactive workshop will take participants through everything they need to
think about to start a group for girls with disabilities including: recruitment,
curriculum development, group dynamics, capacity building and more. This
workshop is free.

Membership Program
Professors, a membership to TASH is on of
the most valued resources you can offer students as they enter the disability
community in their professional capacities. The Student Membership Program
works by a professor can assign TASH membership as one would a textbook or a
