By participating in the informational meetings, people with disabilities will receive information on policy issues that 
directly affect them.  Along with gaining this up-to-date 
information, they will also receive information on resources and tools which detail how to affect that policy issue.  This provides people with disabilities the knowledge and supports necessary to make an informed choice, enhance their 
self-determination, and participate in the community.
