Call For Proposals
Michigan CONNECT: Starting a Movement Conference, is calling for proposals for its third annual gathering of college students with disabilities and their allies who are advocating for the disability community in Michigan.
Purpose/Theme
This is an opportunity to bring together college students and student allies for a four day event to network with other young leaders from across the state of Michigan who is interested in activism in the disability community. This event will center on building leaders for the disability rights movement. Time will be spent on exploring disability activism on campus and the greater community, student organization leadership and transition, disability pride and inclusion.

How to Submit
All proposals should be submitted by email to : CONNECT@prosynergy.org or by mail to: CONNECT, 780 W. Lake Lansing Rd. East Lansing, MI 48823 or verbally to Theresa Squires (517)333-2477 x 326
Proposals are due by June 25, 2008, authors will be notified by July 1 of acceptance.
All proposals should have the following
- Title of presentation
- Presenters names and organization/college they are represented
- Short abstract summarizing content of presentation, including objectives and learning outcomes for the audience.
- Length of presentation (not to exceed two hours)

Student presenters are asked to participate fully in the entire conference and attend all sessions and events.
