The CCL Information Clearinghouse provides information on leadership resources to people with disabilities throughout Michigan.

Purpose

The CCL Information Clearinghouse services as a resource center for leaders throughout Michigan by:

• Identifying and recruiting emerging leaders
• Identifying and recruiting potential supports and supporters
• Finding leadership development opportunities
• Identifying community needs and opportunities
• Publicizing and promoting leadership opportunities
• Creating and maintaining a database of leadership opportunities throughout Michigan
• Using the database to link people, supports, and information

The Information Clearinghouse database has information on leadership opportunities throughout the state including:

How do I get information from the Clearinghouse?

People can get information by:

• Calling 1-866-532-2669
• Emailing leadership@prosynergy.org
• Contacting a local partner organization

For example:

1. Sally wants to improve her skills as a board member
2. She calls the Clearinghouse and talks to a live person who gets the training information from the database
3. She talks with that person about needed supports, like a ride, and money to pay for the training
4. The Clearinghouse staff tries to connect Sally with her needed supports
5. Sally fully participates in the leadership opportunity and receives ongoing support as she becomes a leader in her community
